This is a QX4 my parents bought for cheap because it had a busted transmission and transfer box. That's fixed now so I'm making it a project car. Oh yes, I'm 17.

I've been lately trying to rejuvenate the plastic trim. I ghetto masked the side running boards and re sprayed them. I didn't have exactly great masking tape. Still, there's only so much you can expect from harbor freight tools.

It's a great little SUV, and one with lots of features. 6 track. Bose. Minor rust. Fake wood trim. Hitch. Space enough to fit 3 bikes inside (with extreme difficulty). Oh yes, it can do burnouts. In private dirt lots. It has the underpowered V6, but it works fine when I need it to run.

I'm planning to do serveral things-

Nexus 7 Tablet Install in place of Double DIN radio

Light bar. If I have enough. Probbaly going to be hidden.

Arduino to control some solenoids and hidden instrument panel.

Bedliner spray to make exterior plastic surfaces usable.

You'll see my journey as time goes on.

I'm sticking to the philosophy of "you never know when you need them". The Bulbs will be retrofitted with a Cree LED. And I have bought...strobe lights as wel.

Haha, thought you were talking about a full out deck bar or something.

Buy some to stick on the front! That thing is 4wd right?

Just don't do strobes.

deck bars are for the weak minded personally. I like it mildly age correct. It's 4wd. Im doing discreet strobes, I'm probbaly going to take apart the front bumper and drill small holes to fit the LEDs.

If all fails, I sell them on CL. Why no strobes? (Yes I I know they are mildly not legal)
